One needs to get registered to work as gaming worker. Before becoming a casino advisor, a person must pass a written exam. The written exam is based on the knowledge of CTCOG (Casino Terms and Conditions and Operating Guidelines). The exam for the casino advisors is held twice a year. One can attempt the exams to a maximum of three times. The candidate has to deposit a fee of $100 for the first attempt and gets the second attempt free. For the third attempt, again a fee has to be deposited. There is a minimum score required to pass the exam.
When the applicant passes the exam, he needs to get training within six months as apprentice. This is the sole responsibility of the candidate to find a registered casino advisor and work under him for six months to complete his training. The casino advisor who wants to get registered also has to declare and disclose all his financial information.

Once all the things are in place, the successful candidate is registered as a casino advisor for a period of two years.
