Real Time Gaming’s Double Double Jackpot Poker is a multi coin, 100 hand variety of video poker. Although a very customer friendly in general, the software is nothing too special compared to others. There is no Auto Play feature and sadly it doesn’t provide any user statistics, either.
As a whole, the game is made easy enough by the very clear instructions on the screen. There is also a handy help section available for new players who may be unsure about some of the details. The graphics, as with most video poker graphics, are average and are not helped by the small size necessary for so many cards. The ordinary card dealing sounds can be disabled and the game speed can be adjusted smoothly across a broad band, rather than a selection of speeds. The game is best played with Speed Deal enabled. This will gain extra playing time by doing away with the card animation, which is fine.
Players begin by choosing their coin value from a choice of values from 0.01 or 0.05 through 0.25 and 0.50 to 1.00 and then transfer credits from their casino account into the game by selecting the required chips and clicking on them. The chosen amount is then displayed in the so-called Credit cell just below the central playing area. Clicking the Bet One button will adjust the amount of coins bet per hand (a click per coin).
To bet the maximum 5 coins, Bet Max may be used instead. The total amount wagered will be shown in the cell labelled Total Bet and this amount will be deducted from the game credits. Players need to ensure enough credits to cover the coin value/ amount of coins for 100 hands are transferred into the game.
Play then commences by the player clicking on Deal and is played just like the usual type video poker (as detailed within the Rules section). Once a hand has been completed, winnings are displayed in the Payout cell on the screen and will be credited to the game credit balance. Should enough credit remain, the player may start another game immediately; if not, he may have to transfer additional credits first.
The lowest payout is for Jacks or Better, with a Royal Flush being the highest. Double Double Jackpot Poker’s defining feature lies in a selection of four cards of a kind, segregated by the fifth card present in the hand.
Thanks to the 100 hand play feature and the many possible winning opportunities offered by the various four of a kind combinations, Double Double Jackpot Poker provides lots of fun with plenty of excitement thrown in.
